The Canfranc Estacion luxury hotel
Canfranc Estacion
Me in the shade with Sylvie and Marie-Sol. Sylvie had hurt her knee and was hoping to hitch a ride from Canfranc Estacion to Jaca for an knee brace, and, depending on the outcome, to return home.
The collapsed wall on one side of the bridge
The people who helped me climb down. Two Spanish couples out walking for the day, and a Polish pilgrim walker.
Walking into Canfranc Pueblo
The albergue in Canfranc Pueblo. It was named after Elías Valiña, an important figure in the revival of the Camino de Santiago in the late 20th century, who came up with the idea of marking the trail with with yellow arrows that are still used today.
