Part 4 / Day 4 : La Commande - Oloron Ste. Marie

I walked from La Commande to Oloron-Sainte-Marie with a French couple, which helped make this difficult day of significant 19km of ups and downs easier. It was a very difficult and tiring day of walking. Oloron is also the oldest in Béarn province with more than 2000 years of history. It occupies a strategic geographical position at the convergence of three valleys and two rivers, the Ossau and the Aspe. Oloron Ste Marie was born in the mid-19the century with the merger of the communes of Oloron and Ste Marie and is a city with a very strong Hispanic influence.
